Exeter Greens are at the forefront of the fight to improve Exeter’s dirty air. We have shown how the Labour-led Council has consistently downplayed and covered up the realities of air pollution in the city. We are pushing for honest, clear information for the public, and have provided factual information ourselves in the absence of anything clear from the City Council. See our map and fact sheet page.
We believe that the City and County Council’s should jointly commit to reduce air pollution across the whole city, instead of just trying to reduce illegal levels – thereby ignoring the thousands of people who are living with close to illegal levels of nitrogen dioxide.
The current City Council ‘Action Plan’ for air pollution is nothing more than a ‘wish list’, with no evidence to prove the suggested actions will make any real difference. We are campaigning hard to change the Council’s approach so they take action now, not later.
