Our Candidate for May 2024 is
Lynn Wetenhall
Lynn is an experienced community activist, who has worked alongside Green Councillor Andy Ketchin in Newtown & St Leonard’s for the past two years. Lynn has brought fresh ideas and pushed for change on a range of issues at both the neighbourhood and city levels. She has seen how some residents suffer from persistent problems that affect their quality of life and wants to see more action to tackle those issues. She believes that listening to what residents say is the key to being an effective councillor.

Andy Ketchin
Andy is a consultant in Accident and Emergency. He was elected as the first Green Councillor in Newtown and St Leonard’s in May 2023. He is passionate about helping to sort out the doorstep issues that can blight people’s daily lives, from rat running to rubbish. He wants to help local people have a better understanding of what is going on at the council that affects them so that they can also shape decisions and actions. Andy believes that Exeter needs a more balanced council so different voices are heard and decisions are taken on the grounds of what works, not party lines. He is keen to work constructively with anyone who wants to make Newtown and St Leonards a greener, fairer place.
