A track record of working hard in our area

I have lived in this area for over eight years. I love our local community and have taken action on local issues, including:
Working with community groups to clear our streets and look after our local parks
Campaigning for the rollout of food waste collections for all residents
Pressing for improved public engagement and talking to residents when the Council has failed to do so

Prioritising listening to residents and getting the basics right

Many people have told me how frustrated they are with the County Council trying to implement changes and ignoring the community. I got into politics because I believe people should be genuinely involved in decisions that affect their lives.

As a Chartered Civil Engineer by profession, I know what works well when it comes to good community engagement before new projects begin. If elected, I will push the council to get the basics right. This means:
Proper public engagement
Fair and timely decisions for those needing adult social care
Working better with parents and carers to help improve SEND services
Making sure pavements are clean, clear and safe
Fixing potholes and ensure road crossings are in the right place
Ensuring that drains are cleared to prevent flooding
The Green Party does not tell its councillors how to vote, so I will be free to stand up for our area.

Green Party support in Exeter is growing

Green Party support in Exeter has grown hugely over the last five years – we have gone from one City Councillor to seven, including two in our area. Meanwhile, support for the Tories has collapsed and Labour is failing to deliver positive change either locally or nationally.
