Kate Jago

Kate has a track record of listening to residents and working to support the community in Pinhoe. She set up the Community Support volunteer network during the pandemic and still runs a small team that continues to help elderly residents. Kate also ran the successful petition to save Higher Field, presenting a researched policy proposal to safeguard the Northern Hills which received cross-party support. Recent projects include citizen science initiatives to monitor Pin Brook and hosting The Little House, a much-loved and well-supported free community library/pantry. Having campaigned to protect local trees and hedgerows with the local history group, Kate continues to work with residents and local businesses to support Pinhoe Village and shares local news as a community publisher.
